Join us for a Spanish Speaking book club! Whether you are an expert speaker, just learning the language, or somewhere in-between- you are welcome to join us!

Sesión 1 - Dia de muertos 

1:00- 1:10: Bienvenida y dinámica para conocernos mejor. 

1:10-1:20: Introducción sobre el club de lectura.

1:20- 1:45: Reflexión de un escrito de la autora Elisabeth Kubler Ross con respecto a la vida y la muerte.

1:45- 1:55: Realizar una cajita de sugerencia de libros y escoger el primer libro a leer. 

1:55-2:00: Entrega de regalitos y despedida. 

Session 1 - Day of the Dead

1:00-1:10: Welcome and personal introductions

1:10-1:20: Introduction to the book club

1:20-1:45: Reflection on a piece by author Elizabeth Kubler Ross regarding life and death

1:45-1:55: Select book club schedule by drawing from a hat and choose the first book we will read

1:55-2:00: Gift giveaway and wrap-up

Esther Orozco, who originally comes from Nuevo Leon in Mexico, is a woman with a love for books and the transformative power of love. Her career as a nurse has lead her to find an interest in serving the community by caring for patients with terminal illnesses and those who are grieving. She is committed personally to transforming into the best version of herself to be a force of good for others. This personal commitment is carried out through her passion for books. Books have been a crucial part of her path towards internal transformation. She is currently a wife and first-time mother in a foreign country with a desire to create a space where her new-found latino community in Sheboygan can connect by means of books and literary.
