Ghazal Poetry Form Workshop w/Heather Hanlon

Starting in medieval Persia, poets used the ghazal form (pronounced "guzzle") for expressing loss and love. Journey through this form to touch the center of your loss and love using syntactically complete couplets, measured meter, internal rhyme scheme, and, at the end, the mark of your name. The beautiful rotations of this form are sure to deepen any writing practice and spark fresh creativity.

Join this class for poem samples, a tutorial, time to write, and time to share.

Cost: $20 (Summer 2022 Promotional Rate)

Age: 16+
