Intercultural Communication in Fiction Writing w/ Danielle Grandinetti ($20)

Writing a book not set in your home community? Have a character with a different cultural or economic background than you? Does one of your characters speak a different language or have an accent?

Give authenticity to your writing by applying intercultural communication to your characters.

This class will offer tools on how to write characters who are different from you with respect. Whether because of a difference in culture, socio-economic standing, or language, understanding the pitfalls will help you avoid stereotyping while adding conflict within your story. No matter your character’s background—or yours—the principles of intercultural communication can point you the right direction.

This class is geared toward fiction writers, but the concepts taught in this class can be applied to all areas of life. Come learn how to celebrate our differences while writing them in a way that grants dignity to one another.

Danielle Grandinetti writes both historical romantic suspense and contemporary sweet romance.
