Lakeland University Senior Reading w/ Darcyn Gross

Come celebrate Darcyn Gross’ graduation from Lakeland University by attending his Senior Reading at WordHaven!

Darcyn will be reading from his final project: Eat Your Pets and Other Works. He dissects the grief we feel when we lose a pet, both unexpectedly and expectedly. The book explores topics such as regret at what could have been done, the mixed bag of emotions that accompany moving on, and how we deal with grief through humor. Darcyn brings a profound sense of melancholy and uplifts those feelings with dry and selective humor.

Darcyn Gross is a creative writing and psychology senior at Lakeland University who primarily writes nonfiction while dabbling in poetry and fiction. Originally from Kentucky, Darcyn has been suffering the cold winters to finish his bachelor’s before heading to Graduate school in Virginia. His interests revolve around music, art, and his pets, which currently include two cats, Bjorn and Salem.
