WordHaven is partnering with Sheboygan County Humane Society to share some quality time with humans, adoptable pets, and books!

A representative from the Humane Society will be here with applications if you find a love match with one of the adoptable pets in attendance at this event.

This month, local children’s author of My Happiness Counts, Charm Joy Der, will be reading from her book and other children’s books of her choice.

Charm Joy Der (MA Ed) is a wife; mother to two inquisitive and energetic young sons; a community Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) educator and strategist; and the Executive Director of Come Together Sheboygan. She is passionate about DE&I and belonging and aims to provide a space where all children see themselves within literature as well as creating a foundation of love, happiness, and self-esteem for children.
