Local Poet, Kelsey Lueptow, will be our reader this month!
Our pup this month is Xena!
Hi there! My name is Xena and I’m 3.5 years old. I am a pretty ,but shy gal who needs a little extra reassurance and lots of extra tender loving care. A nice home where I can learn to trust people and become comfortable in my own fur would be a dream come true. I will be your absolute best friend, I promise.
I know sit and shake, I get along with cats and dogs, and I’ve been fine around kids. I am very gentle if you give me a treat and I am gentle with my soft toys. I like chewing on hard bones too. And there is nothing better than when you scratch my butt. Oh, that feels so good! Here at the shelter I look nervous in my cage, but if you get me out and show me some love, I will show you love right back! If you have a home with extra love to give, please reach out to the staff here at the shelter. I can’t wait to meet you! XOXO, Xena
